Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Hogue; children Amy Wittenbach, Bambi and Bob VanBeek, Tim and Katelyn Hogue; stepdaughter, Tara and Mike Bantjes; eight grandchildren Morgan and Maddie Wittenbach, Samantha, Sawyer, and Sophia VanBeek, Bryce and Brielle Bantjes, Hazel Hogue; great-granddaughter, Lana Wiersma; siblings Barbara Cronin and David and Jan Hogue; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was born in Salineville, Ohio where he grew up on the family farm, and drove the tractor to school since the age of 12. He was adventurous, loved to travel, was an avid gardener, and was generous to a fault. He would never turn down an ice cream cone, especially in his “happy places” at Sandy Pines and Orange Beach, Alabama. Bob had a great sense of humor and became a friend to anyone he met. If he loved you, you knew that he loved you!
Bob worked at Byron Center Public Schools for 42 years. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
