Karen Belknap, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, November 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Her strength and will granted us a miraculous extra eight years with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas Keegstra; and son, Brad Carmer.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 30 years, Daniel Belknap; and children Matt Carmer, Jason Carmer, Elizabeth (Aaron) Thomas, Abe Belknap, Ben Belknap; and numerous grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Pathway Church, 8350 Byron Center Ave. SW, Building B, Byron Center, MI 49315. A funeral service celebrating Karen’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Pathway Church with visitation from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Karen will be laid to rest at Zutphen Cemetery in Jamestown, MI following services. In memory of Karen and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pathway Church.
