Joy Brewer Maddox has quietly slipped into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus. After a long battle with Parkinson's Disease, she is once again restored to agility and freedom from pain and suffering.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Maddox; parents Alvin and Edith Brewer; brother, Kenneth Brewer; and nephew, Keith McNees. She is survived by her sisters Icie (Bud) Richardson, Audrey Fay (Clem) Nicoloff, and Judie (Roger) Berry; nieces Tamara McNees Hall, Mara (John) Nicoloff Benz, Nicole Nicoloff, Shannon (Ken) Berry Popkin, and Amanda Berry.
Joy's family and numerous friends will greatly miss her sense of humor and willingness to share anything she owned with others even if they didn't ask for it or need it.
The family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation to Byron Center Manor where Joy lived and was cared for these past eight years, Kindred Hospice, and especially the Area Agency on Aging of West Michigan.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St., Byron Center, MI 49315. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service. The family welcomes condolences, memories, and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresbyron.com.
