Ginny Hess, age 73 of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Ginny was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Lillian Miller. Ginny was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Phil; their children Keri (Jeff) Johnson and Jonathan (Kristen) Hess; grandchildren Reece, Kennedy, and Cade Johnson, Jack and Brooklyn Hess; sister, Laurie Peck; nieces and nephews Karen Epp, Karl (Tara) Lohman, Verna (Brian) Mansfield, Becky (Bob) Newport, Brad (Lisa) Eldridge, Mike (Kendra) Eldridge and many great-nieces and -nephews. Ginny was a longtime dedicated employee of Kent ISD who loved her job and the people she worked with.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, with Ginny’s Pastor, Don Hancock, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday November 12, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center and Monday one hour prior to the service.
