Dave Miller, age 80 of Byron Center, passed away peacefully October 25, 2024. He was always eager to lend a helping hand; his generosity and compassion touched many lives. He was preceded in death by his son, Brion (Sue); daughter, Kendra Groenhout; parents Charles and Martha Miller; mother-in-law, Donna Taylor (Andy Ripstra); father-in-law, Ralph Taylor. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Vicky; daughter, Kristen Berens; son-in-law, John Groenhout; mother-in-law, Diane Taylor; grandchildren Alexis, Emma, Jessica, and Matthew Berens, and Chase and Reid Groenhout; special and loving sister, Nancy Ulrich (Jim Kienlen); brother, Milton Collins (Barb); nieces and nephews Jeff Ulrich (Rebecca), Cindy Brunsting (Mike), Keith Collins (Karen); brothers- and sisters-in-law Nancy Koch (Ken), Mike Taylor (Carol), Pat Taylor (Sue).
Dave was a dedicated, hardworking man who devoted 40 years to Smith Industries. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing trips in his younger years. Dave and his beloved wife, Vicky, lived on Duncan Lake in Caledonia, Michigan for 13 years, where they built countless memories with family and friends. He also cherished the time spent at their annual vacation on Lake Michigan.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2024 at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, Michigan, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Hospice - Trillium Woods.
