He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania April 26, 1954 to Walter William Lawyer and Mary Elizabeth (Anoka) Lawyer.
Rick is survived by his step-daughter Melissa Hoffman and her spouse Garrett Crouch, step-sons Kenny Hoffman and wife Julie Hoffman, Mikey Hoffman and his wife Nina Shirley. Also surviving are grandchildren Cheyenne Snyder, Cody Snyder, Lainey Drabenstadt, Starr Hoffman, Sydney Hoffman, Zander Hoffman, Zane Hoffman and River Hoffman. Surviving also are Rick’s brothers Walter William Lawyer, Jr., and Rodney Eugene Lawyer; nephews Ty William Lawyer, Erik Michael Lawyer, Ryan Daniel Lawyer, Nathan L. Lawyer and nieces Adenna Marie Fuit and Danelle Elaine Curlee. Rick was preceded in death by his wife Debra Lawyer, his parents and his brothers Terry Lee Lawyer and David John Lawyer.
