I am very sorry to hear that such a wonderful man has passed away; though I only met him once, I felt his compassion and devotion for others through his loving daughter Adele to whom my heart goes out to in this difficult time. I was homeless for much of my time at Waltrip High School, and ran away after graduation feeling ashamed; however, it was her believe that I was special too that carried me through many dark nights and gave me the confidence to attend college. I will forever be grateful.
