Justin Battles

Justin Battles, 26 of Bertram left his earthly home and entered into his heavenly home February 10, 2018 as a result of an accident. He was born May 3, 1991 in Round Rock, the son of John and Diane Battles.

Justin attended Burnet CISD, where he ran track, lettered in football and went on to graduate. He currently was a superintendent at Jordan Foster Construction in Pflugerville.

In his free time Justin loved to be on the water. He loved fishing, hunting, barbequing, drinking cold beer, bonfires, riding his Harley, singing in the shower and selfies. He had a special bond with his brothers and used the reference “Hey Bo” when greeting each other, he was loved by all.

Justin is survived by his parents John and Diane Battles, brothers Josh and Jeramie Battles all of Bertram, nieces Courtney and Katlynn Battles of Houston, maternal grandparents Paul and Betty Cunningham of Burnet, Larry and Sue Cantrell of Briggs, great grandfather Shorty Cantrell of Briggs, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and girlfriend Lorrie Potts, his very special friend Sommer Floyd and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Cotton and Margaret Battles, maternal great grandparents Lenora and Woody Yount and great grandmother Thelma Cantrell.

Although Justin had no natural born children of his own, he took three very special children under his wing, that he loved very much; Heidi Floyd, Cooper and Slade Holley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 14, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Funeral Services will be held February 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hill Country Fellowship Church in Burnet, with interment to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Corey Schwartz, Matt Gold, Mark Behrens, Jeramie Battles, Josh Battles, Michael Givens, Quade Stubblefield and Clarence Cantrell. Honorary Pallbearers are Banks Lowrence and Shaun Caddell.

Arrangements were made by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet.
