Visitation will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, February 4, 2023 at The Grove Church, Liberty Hill, Texas. Funeral services will be held immediately thereafter at 2:00pm with Scott Heider officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas.
Grace was born at home in Sour Lake, Texas to Alonzo Oler Spivey and Adelia Francis Sulser Spivey on June 24, 1929. She is the youngest of 7 children. Grace along with her siblings grew up going to school and working on their parent’s farm before she started attending business school and moving to Beaumont. After completing business school Grace began working for an ear, nose and throat doctor for several years before starting her almost 20 year career at Gulf States Utilities where she met her husband Al Naylor.
Grace married Alfred Ernest Naylor in February 1965 in Kountze, Texas.
Grace is preceded in death by her parents Alonzo Oler Spivey and Adelia Francis Sulser Spivey, and siblings Olive Ernestine Spivey Guidry, Wilma Ethaleen (Dickey) Spivey Gatlin, Loy Elton Spivey, Macel Lee Spivey, Nelda Francis Spivey Watson, and Lester Merle Spivey.
She is survived by Husband Alfred Ernest Naylor, Son David with Cecilia Naylor of Bertram, and Son Scott with Ashliegh Naylor, of Austin. She is also survived by her precious grandson Jareck Naylor of Bertram as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.
