Gene Elliott Brown, age 82, of Bertram, TX passed away peacefully on Thursday May 30, 2024. He was born March 5th, 1942 in Houston, TX, the son of the late Leona and George Brown. He was loved and supported by his family, church family, and many friends during his time of need.
He was a graduate of C.E. King High School in Houston, TX. He was also a proud retired Houston Police Department Sergeant of Special Operations and was a member of the Oatmeal Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sherman Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ann Brown, and his children Sherry Cory (Scott), Cathy Noel (David), Debra Bowes, Jason Brown (Sara) and 6 grandchildren, Ashlee Todd (Eric), Kelsey Bowes, William Bowes III, Tyler Vincent-Brown, Derek and Clayton Brown.
Services to be held at Oatmeal Church of Christ, 660 County Road 327, Bertram, TX 78605, on Saturday June 22, 2024 at 10:00am.
