Chris Allen Tate, 65, of Highland Haven was born August 29, 1955, in Austin to Marvin and Frances Tate. He passed away peacefully on Sunday August 1, 2021 in Marble Falls. On February10, 1990, Chris married Louise Seiders in Round Rock and they were married for 31 ½ years.
There were many things in life that Chris was interested in. Some of these interests include working in the yard, tinkering around the house and playing and listening to music. He was also a big movie buff and enjoyed spending time on the lake. Above all else, family was important to him and he loved his wife and son dearly.
In 2011 Chris retired after a 40 year career in the retail grocery business. After his retirement, Chris and Louise moved to the lovely Texas Hill Country and settled in Highland Haven.
Chris is survived by his wife Louise of Highland Haven and his son Brandon of Austin. Additional survivors include his mother Frances Tate Boring, his sisters and brothers-in-law Cindy and Greg Nichols and Susan and Mark Monroe as well as nephews Cody, Cory, Carson, Colby and Jantzen and one niece Rachel. In addition he is survived by four great nieces and a great nephew along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Chris made many friends along the way and he will be missed by all.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday August 6 from 5-7 PM at Clements-Wilcox funeral Home in Burnet. Graveside service and interment will take place at 10 AM Saturday August 7 at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet. Those named as pallbearers are Cody Nichols, Cory Nichols, Carson Monroe, Colby Monroe, David Fikac and Greg Nichols.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions in memory of Chris be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
