Andrew Martin Potter, age 49, of Burnet, Texas passed away at the home of his parents, Richard and Ruby Potter in Burnet. He was born October 6, 1963 at the Nix Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his parents, brothers Arthur Wayne Potter and wife Vicki of Benicia, California and Alan Ray Potter and wife Patricia of Burnet, Texas; niece LaDonna Kelly and husband James, of Topeka, Kansas; nephew Stephen Potter of Topeka, Kansas; and nephew Corey Ray Potter, Savannah, Georgia. He is also survived by uncle Henry Potter and wife Ann of San Antonio, Texas; aunt Catherine Williams of Greenville, Texas; aunt Lu Dell Johnson, Lawrence, Kansas; uncle Fred Horn and wife Regina, Fort Worth, Texas and many cousins.
Andrew graduated from John Jay High school, San Antonio, Texas in 1982. He later worked as a cook and chef at snack bars and country clubs. Andrew was later involved in various aspects of the professional music business and staging with FILO in Austin, Texas for more than 18 years and continued to work after his cancer diagnosis. He has many precious friends in San Antonio, Austin and elsewhere.
Andrew's memorial service will be at Eastlake Fellowship Church, 13218 Ranch Road, R.R. 2341, Burnet, Texas on Saturday, April 27, 2013 beginning at 1 pm. Lunch will be served following the memorial. Contributions can be mailed to Richard Potter at P.O. Box 336, Burnet, Texas 78611.
