Alice Faye Walden Cowan

Alice was born December 30, 1952 in Austin to parents, James and Juanita (Chaudoin) Tomerlin. Alice was a longtime resident of Liberty Hill and Bertram, living there for 24 years before retiring and moving to Seadrift, Texas.

Alice was in the restaurant business and was owner of Hobo Depot Café in Liberty Hill for over 20 years. Many will have fond memories of the Hobo Depot and her presence there.

She is survived by her children; daughter Donna Walden of Bertram, daughter Becky Child and husband Chris of Liberty Hill, son Chad Walden and wife Sheila of Liberty Hill, son Virgil Cowan of Liberty Hill, brother David Chaudoin of Leander, brother Doug Tomerlin and wife Dema of Georgetown and sister Teri Watson and husband Bobby of Kingwood. Alice was the proud grandmother to grandchildren Lyndsey Walden and partner Tyson Maynard, David Harmon, Kevan Harmon, Michael Child and wife Kane, Allison Child, Camryn Child, Shavon Harris and husband Brock, Sarena Ringstaff and husband Josh, Chance Churchwell and wife Reggie and great-grandchildren Justin, Blaine, Landyn, Hayden, Zeke, Zane, Haven, Cooper, Case, Levi, Carson, Hunter, Addie and Cheyenne. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Cowan, parents James Tomerlin and Juanita Chaudoin, niece Kimberly Tomerlin Axtell, niece Kelli Tomerlin Konopczyk and grandchildren baby Walden and great-grandson Raiden Harmon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lakeview Hall located within LCRA Black Rock Park in Buchanan Dam, Tx. (3400 TX-261, Buchanan Dam, TX 78609) on Sunday, December 3, 2023, beginning at noon.

Lunch will be served onsite following the service. For those desiring to do so please bring a covered dish or dessert in lieu of flowers.
