Kwong Yim Fong, left a loving home in Hong Kong to come to Canada at the young age of 23. What a courageous, truly remarkable woman to embrace a marital relationship, raise seven children, experience the death of her parents--and all the while adjusting to a challenging life in a working class restaurant business.
We are very proud and deeply honoured to have had her in our lives. Despite constant medical adversities, each time she persevered and always returned to her beloved 19th Avenue home. She was so looking forward to leaving VGH to return home recently, however, sadly she passed away two days short of her discharge.
We will love you forever, Mom, and will miss your insightful comments, sparkling wit, kindness and love for all of us.
May you rest in peace and be forever free of pain.
