Mary Yeng Fong was born in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. She is survived by her loving family; 4 children, Nancy, Stan (Janet), Howard (Margaret), and Quinton (Hilda); 10 grandchildren, Vincent Mak, Rena Chan (Samuel), Steven (Jenny), Brian (Natalia), Gary (Jenny), Jason (Bickie), Karen, Tracy Stavem (Derek), Jennifer, and Chester; 11 great grandchildren, Nathan, Clara, Tamara, Brendan, Michelle, Amy, Evan, Sienna, Isiah, Nevaeh, and Linden. Mary Yeng Fong, with husband, moved to Shanghai during the Sino-Japanese war, raised 4 children, then lived in Macau for 10 years. She immigrated to Canada in 1972. Mary Yeng Fong has been a very hospitable person, busily helped raising grandchildren, an active and independent person. She traveled often with her children, loved cruises and ventured as far as New Zealand. Her last trip was to San Francisco in May 2011 where she visited her sister. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:30pm on Thursday Feb 12 and Funeral Mass at 11a.m on Friday, Feb. 13 in Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church at 5771 Granville Ave., Richmond. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Blenheim Lodge for their exceptional care they have provided to our mother during her residency at Blenheim and especially making mother's last days full of love and comfort.
