Passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2012. Born in Kendall, SK on September 18, 1931, the third of 5 brothers. In the 1950's he moved west in search of work in the logging and heavy construction industries. He met Josephine ice skating at the P.N.E Forum in 1959 and they married in 1962. Bill worked on the W. A. C. Bennett Dam in the late 1960's, moving later to the mining industry after which he retired in 1993. Often away from home and family, he maintained his close ties to family, community and the church. Predeceased by wife Josephine in 2008, also by brother Tony. Survived by daughter Jacqueline (Ivan). Also by brothers Carl, Adam (Betty) and Frank (Marlene). Prayers will be offered on Friday April 13 at 6:30 pm at St. Paul's Parish, 8251 St. Alban's Rd., Richmond where a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday April 14 at 10:30 am. Flowers gratefully declined in favour of donations to Canadian Diabetes Association.
