Wai Lan Wong Mah passed away peacefully on October 13, 2020. She was born in Taishan, China and emigrated to Canada in 1958 with her daughter, Yet Ying Susan to join our father Tsan Quen Mah.
Wai Lan worked diligently at Keefer Laundry and then at Hallmark Poultry until retirement. After retirement Mom enjoyed watching old Chinese movies and variety shows.
Mom enjoyed cooking all types of dim sum dishes and made delicious Chinese Sticky wrap (Zong) for family and friends every year during the Dragon Boat Festivals. She also loved cooking special meals to celebrate traditional festivals such as Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat, Mid-Autumn Festival and Winter Solstice.
After several falls around the house, mom was admitted into the Villa Cathay care home in October 2012 and stayed until her passing.
Wai Lan is predeceased by her husband Tsan Quen Mah. She is survived by her children, Susan, Richard (deceased) Jenny and Betty. Son-in-laws Allan Cheng (deceased), Steven Puls and Dan Perrett. Grandchildren Anthony (Cristina), Jason, Alana, Natalie, Jordan, Sierra and Brandon.
