Tommy Lowe, aged 75 of Vancouver, BC, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 with his family by his side. Tommy is survived by his wife Francita; children Geoff (Sunny), Carolyn and Chris (Anna); his grandsons Trevor, Brendan and Nathan; his brothers Howard (Nancy), Dick (Lorna) and David (Haynor); cousin Edgar (Patti) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tommy was born in Vancouver, BC to Jack and Esther, and spent his childhood in Kelowna, BC, filled with wonderful memories with his family. He later went to study at the University of British Columbia, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree and embarking on a career in commercial real estate appraisal.
In 1973, Tommy and Francita were married and wholly dedicated themselves to working hard to raise a family of their own. Tommy has always been forever appreciative of Francita as his partner in life. Tommy was a selfless individual who was always concerned about the welfare of those around him. Even as he made Vancouver his home, his heart and thoughts were always with his parents in Kelowna and he travelled to visit whenever he could. In Vancouver, he felt great affection for all the times he spent with Edgar’s family and Francita’s family. Family was of utmost importance to him; in fact one could say that he didn’t have any hobbies of his own and that his only hobby was any activity that allowed him to spend time with family. As Tommy’s children grew up and grandchildren became a part of his life, “Ye Ye” cherished every moment he was able to spend with them. It was in all these moments where you could truly see Tommy’s happiness shine through.
We will dearly miss Tommy and forever hold his memory in our hearts.
