Thomas Lim was born on November 17th 1961 in Lahad Datu, Sabah, Malaysia. He was the 3rd of five children. After completing high school in Malaysia, he immigrated to Canada and was awarded a Bachelors of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University in 1984. For 30 years, from 1987 to 2016, he worked as a Computer Manager at London Drugs. In May 2016, he was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, and fought and cherished his remaining time for three years.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Susan Lim, and sons Correy and Kieran Lim. Thomas is also survived by his brothers and sisters Annie, Lily, Simon, Patricia and Michael Lim, close brother-in-law Khin Mann Wong, Ken Wong, and sister-in-laws Soi Ling, Soi Ping, Soi Moi, Soi Lin, Soi Mei and Soi Wan Wong
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Dennis Lim and Tan Nyuk Chu, and brother-in-law Vincent Chu.
