Soo Lai Tom

She passed peacefully surrounded by family at Vancouver General Hospital. Soo Lai was born in Vancouver, BC on February 16th, 1927 and will be greatly missed by her family. She is predeceased by her husband Tom Chong Duck and daughter Julie Jung.

She is survived by her brother Fong Woo, her children, Janet Chong (Hon Chong), Harry Tom (Cindy Sung), Jeannie Tom, Peter Tom (Dawn Tom), Johnny Tom (Mimi Tom), Dennis Tom (Jane Tom), and son in law Harry Jung, her grandchildren Tarin Clay (Steven Clay), Stephanie Jung (Jan Cabalu), Lisa Chong, Katlin Tom (Russell Porter), Kimberley Tom, Geoff Tom (Christine Tom), Ryan James (Cindy Yeung), Breanna Cherkaoui (Moe Cherkaoui), Kyle Tom (Kelssay Hurd), Nolan Tom (Jessica Chan), Alexander Tom, Colby Tom, Megan Tom, and Logan Tom, and her great grandchildren Juliet Clay, Brandon Clay, Evan Cabalu, Wesley Cabalu, Desiree Decastro, Jay-Jay Decastro, Lalainne Decastro, Claressa Decastro, Cameron Blom, Caden James, Olivia James, Kiara James, Jimmy Cherkaoui, Noah Cherkaoui, Ayah Cherkaoui, Sara Tom and Maya Tom.

A viewing will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral and Memorial Park Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby BC at 7pm - 9pm Tuesday May 23rd, 2023.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 24th, 2023 at 10am at Forest Lawn Funeral and Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby BC.
