My cousin Dora has always given people the impression of a rigorous & meticulous individual. 
Perhaps not many people know about her interesting life, her unique talents, & her love of life. 

Picture this.  A little lady of 4' 8", she squeezed into a group of "macho guys"... Carrying her small backpack, she stepped on the treadmill with determination~~ yes, walking on the treadmill with her small backpack😄!  Except for those snowy days, Dora was a fervent guest to the community fitness room.  

Dora was no doubt a multilingual talent.  Besides her own mother tongue Cantonese, she could  speak fluent native Taiwanese.  She picked up the dialect during her 2-year stay in Taiwan as a missionary.  In college Dora was an English Literature major.  She put it to best use when she worked as a court interpreter, as well as doing translation jobs for her church.  

Let's not forget about Dora's dainty, exquisite taste, her passion for gemstones.  She had a broad knowledge of all kinds of gemstones, & had obtained a certificate in jewelry authentication.  You might have noticed her matching sets of necklaces, brooches, earrings when she attended dinners and banquets.  If you had received jewelry gifts from her, they were most likely from her precious collections! 

How can we not mention Dora, The "iron chef"👍😄!  Any ordinary ingredients she could get her hands on, she could make a delicious meal!  Including abalone, shark fin, lamb rack... you name it, Dora could master them with her exquisite skill.  While most people make noodles, wrapped dumplings, my cousin Dora always started with "flour".  So, let's all step aside😉.

What I admire most about Dora is her heart for the elderly... Every time she cooked "big dish" to treat her parents, she always prepared two extra portions for the two old aunts downstairs.  It was So heartwarming .

Dora Lok, you were a gem, a talent, a passionate, devoted soul!  
RIP!  My sweet cousin, my bosom friend, I miss you.

May you find peace in God's embrace, as you rejoin your loving parents and all who have loved and adored you!
