Shirley Anne Zaniol (Peturson), age 85, of Burnaby, British Columbia passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Shirley was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The youngest of seven children, born to Halgrimur and Ida Peturson. The family moved to B.C. and settled in Fort Langley, and eventually in New Westminster. When she married Don, she moved to Burnaby and stayed there until her retirement. She is predeceased by her husband, Don, her parents, infant siblings, Stephen and Grace, her brothers Robert and Donald, her sister Laura Brown and her niece Laura Hughesman.
She is survived by her son Brian Zaniol (spouse Kelly Zaniol), her daughter Lisa Zaniol (spouse Steve Betts), her grandchildren Cole, Quinn, and Tallan, her sister Doreen Erixon and several nieces and nephews.
