Linna was born on September 3, 1954 in Kowloon Hospital, Hong Kong to Mr. Chui Siu Tong (徐紹湯) and Ms. Tam, Shuk Yee (譚淑儀). She was the youngest of four siblings, and the only daughter. Self described as a shy, sheltered child, she came into her own with the early passing of her mother in 1974.
With this catalyst, Linna built upon her classroom interest in social studies and decided early in her career to give back to society. She participated in volunteer programs at the United Christian Hospital, and later became an active member of the Civil Aid Service (民安隊).
Her love of travel led her around the world, both before and after her marriage. At the same time, she continued her education by venturing into secretarial work, eventually working for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Her success could be encapsulated in that ultimately, her husband was the one who moved into her home.
On September 24, 1988, Linna married Joseph Tso, who she met as mutual alumni of Concordia Lutheran School. With her immigration to Canada in 1995, she began both a new stage of her life and a family in the process. Linna became an active member in her church community; known for displaying the love of Christ through quiet example and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others. Even as her condition worsened, she never failed to have a positive and compassionate spirit towards all those she met. As a wife, mother, colleague, dear friend and sister in Christ, Linna was and remains an inspiration for all the lives she touched. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joseph, and two children; Jeffrey and Jeneen.
