He was born on November 22, 1935 in Canton, China to Dai Neen Pang and Sau Har Kwan. He married his first and only love, Lisa Wai Lin Chan, in April of 1972.
Samuel was a very principled and value oriented man. He was never late to anything regardless of the event – picking up his children, meeting a friend, going to a party - as punctuality was the utmost sign of respect. He was a doting husband and a loving dad, always placing his family's needs in front of himself and providing the best he could.
Samuel loved to eat and cook. He taught himself how to make the most elegant meals with the simplest ingredients that were always devoured by his company. When he became too ill to cook, he still loved eating with his family, particularly his favorite dim sum, such as BBQ buns, rice rolls, and soup dumplings.
Samuel is survived by his wife, three daughters and son-in-laws, four grandchildren, as well as two brothers and their families. All of these he loved and touched deeply.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Monday, November 18th, 2019, between 1:30 and 2:30 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on 3789 Royal Oak Ave Burnaby, BC V5G3M1.
