Mr. Salvatore Antonio Mangone

Salvatore (Sam) Antonio Mangone passed away at Lakeview Care Centre on December 10th, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Sam was born on March 30th, 1925 in Castelsilano, Catanzaro, Italy. Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Amalia; sons Luigi and Benny (Beverley); daughter Rose (John); brother Benedetto (Fernie); sisters-in-law Giovanna (Calgary) and Maria Giuseppina (France); grandchildren Jenn, Kelsey, Isaac, James and Jacob; great-grandchildren Chase and Thor and numerous nieces and nephews. Sam was predeceased by his sister Caterina Bitonti and brother Benedetto (Italy); sister Teresina (France); brothers Giovanni and Francesco (Calgary); brother Peppino (France); sister Caterina Gentile (Italy) and sister Rosalia (Fernie). Prayers Service will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 at 7 pm in The Chapel of Ocean View Funeral Home (4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 19th, 2013 at 10 am at St. Joseph's Parish (1612 East 18th Avenue, Vancouver, BC). Entombment to follow at Ocean View's South Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC. The family would like to thank all the staff at Lakeview Care Centre's 4th floor North Tower for their loving care of Sam.
