Uncle Bob:  While I knew you not myself, the stories passed on to me by your nephew make me feel at least somewhat acquainted with your rich & varied life. Especially, I wish to acknowledge your time in service to this country.  Thank you.  Rest well.

Dear Robert Marhull, familiarly known as Uncle Bob... Corinne and I wish to extend sincere feelings to your nephew Lincoln whose love for you was known and witnessed by us. Also, we congratulate you on the influence of your life, almost a full century of service. Your home by the big school, always well kept, the tea pot ready to welcome elbows to the kitchen table, your influence will be remembered. Mostly Uncle Bob we congratulate you on the move through death to life in pure spirit. You have entered life of Light and the dwelling place of the ancestors, some of whom have prepared your welcome. 
So for us here on this earth, we speak to you in spirit. 
We remember. We thank you.

Hello Uncle Bob. I've heard many stories about your gentle nature, kindness towards dogs, and gardening. You are remembered fondly by your nephew and these stories resonate with me, a person who although has never met you, feels like in some ways she has.

Uncle Bob...I remember meeting you in Vancouver when I went out for Lincoln's Mother's funeral. We shared a cup of tea with yourself and Art. You were a quiet, strong, presence who put everyone at ease.For years afterwards, I received a beautiful Xmas card from yourself and Art...I always looked forward to it as it was the most original!! I also remember your dog who would pin unsuspecting visitors against the wall as a greeting...they will all be waiting for you!

Dear Uncle Bob, I'm blessed to have met you.  You had a quiet way about you, and a sweet disposition, one that was about observing the world and going about without much fuss, one that quietly helped others, not for recognition or glory, but just to help. I know that in the quiet was a strength, one that would want others to continue doing good and being kind.  You will be missed and my condolences go to those who miss you and treasure the memories they had with you.

Uncle Bob, we will always remember you as a strong, quiet force, like the tall Oak Tree that stands in our family forest. We will always remember.

Uncle Bob, I met you just once many years ago, but I remember it well. We stood in your garden and I felt a great cheerfulness of spirit and gentle humour all about. Thank you for a special afternoon. Rest well.
