I will always remember Uncle Robert as a jolly, devoted, and caring person. He always had a big smile on his face. I appreciated the fact that he always made an effort to find out what was new happening in my life. He usually had some piece of advice or some topic he was passionate about he wanted to share. 

I’ll miss those conversations and the kindness you filled the room with.

Dear Centina,

When asked if he would ever recover after his wife's death, C.S. Lewis replied with "never." His comparison was that the death of a loved one resembles an amputation: while the wound may eventually heal, a part of you will forever be absent. You will always have a limp as you go through life. Judging from the pictures and anecdotes I've come across, it's clear that Robert’s influence was so profound that it will continue to shape the lives of many, leaving them forever changed. May God's comforting presence be with the Lowe family as they mourn the loss of Robert. You are in our prayers.
