Pui Lan passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She left this world gently, after a full and beautiful life, her heart finally at rest.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and support staff at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Pui Lan in her final days.
Pui Lan is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of sixty-eight years, Hui Kai Wing. Together, they built a beautiful life and a cherished family. She was blessed with four children: William, Patricia (Tony), Linda (Doug), and Albert (Frances). Pui Lan was a proud and adoring grandmother to seven grandchildren—Melanie, Amanda, Jeffery, Brandon, Kayla, Ryan, and Kevin—and a great-grandmother to four precious great-grandchildren: Lauren, Rylie, Naiomi, and Lucas.
Pui Lan was born in Toi San, Guangdong, China, the second eldest of four siblings. She will be remembered with deep affection as a kind and gentle soul, known for her generosity, thoughtfulness, and beautiful heart. Pui Lan’s warmth and grace touched the lives of all who knew her, and her loving spirit will be profoundly missed by family and friends alike. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
A Funeral Service for family and friends will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC, on December 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM. Following the service, Pui Lan will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:30 AM.
The family warmly invites all to join them for a lunch reception at 1:00 PM, with further details to be shared during the funeral service.
Visitation will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel on December 15, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
