Mrs. Nora Bawulin Knudsen

November 17, 1920 - June 13, 2012

Our dear mother,Nora, left us on the morning of June 13th, 2012. She is now dancing with her "angels" where she will once again be the most beautiful girl on the dance floor. Mom was born on a farm in Verigin, Saskatchewan on November 17th, 1920 to Malasha and Nikita Bawulin and passed away at St. Michael's Care Centre, Burnaby at 91 years of age. Our family would like to thank her care aides from Community Home Support, especially the two Sandy's, who made Nora's past few years easier, and also the staff at St. Michael's Care Centre, where Nora has resided since October, for their kindness to her and us, especially during the past few weeks of her final journey. Mom, we will miss you always and love you forever. Service details will be announced at a later date.

Passed away at St. Michael's Care Centre, Burnaby, at 91 years of age. Nora was predeceased by her husband Ernie, parents Nikita and Malasha Bawulin, sister Polly, brother Peter, sister Molly Wake and brother-in-law Allan (Al) Wake. She will be sadly missed by daughters Phyllis Knudsen (Joe Millman), Sharon Owen (Phil), Erin Chang (Wayne), son Harold (Hal) Knudsen (partner April), grandchildren Matthew Chang (Catherine), Jonathan Chang, Heather Blanchard (Adam), Emily Chang, step- grandchildren Sean Owen (partner Amanda Gilligan), Jessica Owen and Jocelyn Herbert. There will be a Memorial Service held at Ocean View Funeral Home Chapel, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby on Sunday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception adjacent to the chapel. As Nora adored gardening and flowers, if you wish, you can either bring or send her some flowers or in lieu of flowers, make a donation to Van Dusen Botanical Gardens, 5251 Oak Street, Vancouver B.C.
