Nick Nick Sands Sanzalone

On Wednesday Feb. 27, Nick passed peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospital after a courageous battle with complications caused by Parkinson's. Born in Vancouver, Nick was a radio and television personality who pioneered C-FUN, CKWX and CHBC-TV in Kelowna. In 1972 he joined multi-cultural station CJVB where he broadcast English afternoon programs until retirement. Nick was known for his kind and friendly nature and always placed his priorities in his family first. He is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Maria, son Robert and his wife Fumiko, daughter Marisa, son Marco and his wife Rebecca and his pride and joy, his grandson Nicolas. He will also be remembered and missed by his brothers Frank and Joe as well as his in-laws Dominic and Enza Autelitano with their respective families both in Canada and in Italy. A funeral service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home on Friday, Mar. 8 at 1:00pm. Donations to the Parkinson's Society in lieu of flowers will be graciously accepted.
