It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Moises Beloy Leonardo on March 31, 2025, at the age of 73 in Port Moody, BC. Born on September 14, 1951, in Tondo, Manila, Moises lived a full and meaningful life—shaped by his unwavering love for his family, his steady work ethic, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Moises was the beloved son of the late Susana and Moises Sr. Leonardo. He was the second youngest of five siblings and is remembered with love by his youngest brother Jay, along with extended family and friends whose lives he touched with his generosity, warmth, and lighthearted spirit.

On August 8, 1978, Moises immigrated to Canada in search of a better life and new opportunities. Just a few months later, on December 16, 1978, he married the love of his life, Lourdes, at Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver, BC—marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

Moises worked as a fabric garment cutter and remained in the same role with dedication and pride until the age of 60. He was known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and quiet determination—qualities that shaped both his professional and personal life.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he found his greatest joy in family. He is survived by his loving wife Lourdes, his sons Chris and Ryan, his two grandsons Kingston and Parker, and his three granddaughters Olivia, Amelia, and Charlotte.

He had a gentle sense of humor and a warm, playful spirit that lit up the room. Whether sharing lighthearted stories or offering a well-timed smile, Moises had a special way of bringing joy and comfort to those around him. He was always ready to lend a hand, share a meal, and lift the spirits of those he loved.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, his laughter, and the legacy of kindness and connection he leaves behind in the family he helped build and the lives he touched.

A celebration of Moises’ life will take place at Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park:
