Mrs. Michelle Agnes Ostrow

With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our mother Michelle on Friday March 23rd, 2012. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Edward in 2001, her granddaughter Christa also in 2001 and her special friend Jack Fleming. With mom's passing a generation of the Kostyra family has ended. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Jacquie, Patti (Fred), Tom (Maureen), Janice (Peter), 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren also many nieces and nephews. With dad's passing, mom moved into Shannon Oaks which she considered her second home and her friends there, her second family. Mom was a very outgoing person with a quick smile who made friends easily. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends and her story telling skills. Mom and dad enjoyed traveling and socializing with their many long time friends. Prayers will be said on Tuesday April 3rd, 2012 at 5.00pm at Corpus Christi Parish 6350 Nanaimo Street Vancouver, where mass of christian burial will be held Wednesday April 4th, 2012 at 11.30 am. Interment will follow immediately after at Ocean View Burial Park. Fr. Bruce Hamilton officiating. A reception will follow the interment at Ocean View Funeral Home.
