Mrs. Mee Sue Lim

Mee Sue is lovingly remembered by her family: son Harvey Lim and his wife Judy, daughters Holly Lim, Helen Mah and her husband Gilbert. She will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren Nicole Lim, Jadene Lim, Holden Mah and Trenten Mah. She is survived by her brothers: Chun Wan Tam, Chun Hai Tam and Chun Ho Tam, as well as other family members and friends.

Mom moved to Canada in 1958 from Taishan, China and worked tirelessly and sacrificed much to build a better life for her family. Mee Sue and Hon Wai sponsored and also housed many family members who subsequently immigrated to Canada. Mom was a great cook and family gatherings or get-togethers were always centered on enjoying meals together. In her retirement years she took great joy and pride in caring for and being in the company of her grandchildren who, in turn, loved her deeply. She will be greatly missed but we will cherish many great memories of our time together.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 28 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby. The Funeral Service will also be held at the Chapel on Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 pm, with internment to follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park grounds. A consolation feast will be held to honour Mee Sue at Golden Seafood Restaurant, 2425 Nanaimo Street, Vancouver at 4:30 pm.
