May May Mimi Wong

Mimi is survived by her husband, Eugene; children, Joyce, Joanie and Jason; grandchildren, Jacob, Noah, Naomi and Aubrey; son-in-law, Trevor; daughter-in-law, Tamara; sister, Grace.

Mimi was born in Guilin, China to Mok Kam Fook and Mok Lo Kwan Yuk. She was the second of three children; older brother, Glenn and younger sister, Grace. Mimi married Eugene Wong in 1967 in Hong Kong, where she gave birth to Joyce and Joanie before moving to Canada in 1974 and having Jason.

Mimi began working as a teacher in Hong Kong. After immigrating to Canada, she transitioned to a career in banking with Canada Trust (TD Bank Group), where she spent the majority of her professional career. Upon retiring in 2003, Mimi dedicated her time to helping care for her grandsons, Jacob and Noah and later, her granddaughters, Naomi and Aubrey.

A funeral is planned for November 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home in Burnaby to celebrate Mimi's life.
