It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Helen at the age of 99 years. Mary was born in Vancouver, BC. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anastasia Cotton, brother Peter, sister Doreen and loving husband Stephen, of 66 years. Mary leaves behind her sons Denis and Greg. Grandchildren Jaeson, Nadia, Scott and Matthew. Also her brother Richard, Uncle Leo, many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friend Flavia.
Mary was very active in her beloved St. Helen's church and community. In her early years she belonged to the Catholic Youth Organization and Star of Sea Merchant Seaman Hostess Club. Following her marriage to Stephen, Mary was very active in the Altar Society, Legion of Mary, doing hospital visits, also the Catholic Women's League, where she was awarded Special Badge of Service. Mary was an active member of St. Helen's Parish, having attend both St. Helen's school and Seton Academy. Together, with her ever loving husband, they supported each other in their endeavours.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St Helen's Parish or Burnaby Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
