Marija Udovicic

March 20, 1943 ~ October 27, 2018

Beyond our profound grief, it is with the utmost gratitude and appreciation for our time spent with our beloved Baba that we announce her passing.

Marija was a trusted friend to many and a valued and well-respected person in the community. Her focus and biggest source of pride was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of 53 years, Ivan, her cherished children Peter (Loredana) and Matilda (Robert) and the light in her heart, her adored grandchildren Monica, Michael, Jonathan and Matthew. She also leaves behind her brothers Stipe (Marija) and Petrica (Loretta) and their families, as well as numerous relatives in Croatia. She was predeceased by her parents, Petar and Marta, and her brother Ivica. Marija was not only selfless; she was the epitome of unconditional love, and was our family oracle. Life will never be the same without her. She will always be missed and never forgotten. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 6 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish, 3105 E. 1st Avenue, Vancouver at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Children's Hearing and Speech Centre of BC would be graciously welcomed. Our sincerest and heartfelt thanks to the nurses, care aids, doctors, and staff at North Shore Hospice for their incredible dedication and compassion, and to Dr. Colin McNeil and staff at Heights Medical for their competence and exceptional care that went above and beyond. We extend a special thanks to BCCA and VGH for their efforts and expertise that gave us two extra years with our incredible Baba.
