Maria Irene Rodrigues Miranda Araujo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the age of 77, surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband Simon, her three children, Elizabeth (Allan Dionne), Daniel (Sharon Visser Araujo) and Darlene (Jean-Charles Roy); and her grandson Gabriel Araujo Dionne. She is also survived by her sisters Isabel and Clara, her brothers Alberto and Gabriel, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Portugal. She was predeceased by her brother Manuel, as well as her parents Alberto and Rosa Miranda.
