Mabel was born in Hong Kong on April 2, 1940. She was the 4th child of 8 siblings in her family. Mabel received education from primary to university in Hong Kong, and later came to Vancouver, Canada in 1965 to pursue her post graduate education at UBC – school of Social Work. She then worked for 10 + years in Child Welfare Service, and 20 + years at UBC Hospital until her retirement.
During her lifetime Mabel had done extensive travelling all over the world. Mabel was very much well-liked by her family, friends, and contemporaries. Many would describe Mabel as having a vibrant personality, caring nature, beautiful soul, great sense of humour, and full of good cheers for both old and young. We are all happy for Mabel for she had received the Lord as her savior on Easter, 2018 at St. Matthias and St. Luke Anglican Church.
