Lynn Queilin Chan

April 17, 1915 – March 19, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Lynn passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Clark in 1979 and by her eldest son Wayne in 2000. Lynn will be dearly missed by her son, Don (Vivienne); her daughter, Victoria Chan-Foslett (Ted); her daughter-in-law, Carol; her grandchildren, Kimberley, Ursula, Aaron, Micah, Michelle, Elyse, Nicole, Cora-Lynn, and Cheri-Lynn; her eighteen great grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews. Lynn is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Tom Soon and David Soon (Elsie). Lynn loved her extended family and her happiest times were when they were all together sharing laughter and food. She was an inspiration and role model for active living, hard work, strength of character, and resiliency. She taught all her children and grandchildren the importance of their culture roots, family, respect, sharing, and never to take anything for granted. All of us are richer and better for her legacy. Lynn also enjoyed her many loyal swimming and walking friends at the Bonsor Recreation Center and her good neighbour, Helen. The family wish to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Y.P. So, and the nurses and staff at the Madison Care Centre for their extended and compassionate care. Funeral service will be held at the Forest Lawn Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby on Sunday, March 25th at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be preferred.
