Mrs. Lai Ping Lee

It is with great sadness that the family of Lai Ping Lee, age 85, of Burnaby, British Columbia announces her passing on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Lai Ping was born in Canton, China on June 8, 1936, and was the youngest of seven siblings. She was married to Sea Chel Lee and began her married life in the small town of Forest, Ontario.

Having been married at a young age Lai Ping soon learned the difficulties of working in the food service industry. Gradually, spanning more than 40 plus years she became a very successful business owner with her husband. Her hard work ethic and incredible dedication to persevere through hardships helped her to become successful, traits she passed down to her children.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Sea Chel, her two sons and their wives David and Shirley Lee, Michael and Ofelia Lee, 3 beloved grandchildren, Jonathon, Elizabeth, Jordan and many nieces and nephews. The love and care she shared with family and friends will be deeply missed and the emptiness caused by her passing will only heal with time.

A private service will be held on Wednesday, Dec 1 at 9 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
