Kenny Ng was my Big Uncle Kenny.  My Uncle Kenny liked being my Big Uncle Kenny because family, and family ties, were very important to him.  To be my Big Uncle Kenny was something very special to him, and he valued that relationship.  When I had children, it made him so happy to be called “Big Great Uncle Kenny”.  He played games with us when we were kids, taught us how to play “Risk” and introduced us to computer games.  He loved teaching us about strategy, and indeed, it gave us insight into how his incredibly intelligent mind worked.  Throughout my life, I could call my Uncle Kenny about anything, and he would always have an opinion, or some advise.  Or make me laugh with his sharp wit.  He was “all in” with everything he did.  From trading stocks, to training dogs, to making bread, he did it all.  My son was looking forward to learning how to build a computer with Big Great Uncle Kenny.  We will miss you and will remember you always, Dear Big Uncle Kenny.    


Ken and I were good friends for many years while working at CRA.
I can't count the number of lunches, coffee breaks and walks we spent together.
We always kept in touch after I retired meeting up at the occasional union meeting or lunch get together.
I am deeply saddened by his loss and I will greatly miss our talks about bikes and computers and life in general.

I met Ken while working at the Appeals division at the CRA.  I do not make friends easily and neither did Ken however we had a natural connection which resulted in many happy memories.  Breakfast in Chinatown- just the two of us, is one of my favorite memories.  We would talk about everything and laugh a lot. He was a very generous and caring person.  He had a very infectious laugh which will remain with me forever.  Rest in peace my dear friend,  until we meet again.  

I have worked with Ken for so long, almost his entire career, but he was more than a coworker.

Ken was such a funny and smart guy, and we had many conversations, teasing each other about our lives.  I remember the lunches and dinners, and discussions about purchases and trips, bumping into him at eye care appointments, having him over to the house.  Morgan and I will miss him. 

We are sending our thoughts and sympathy to his family and friends.  

As a former co worker, I always remember Ken's generosity and helpfulness.

It is with great sadness that I read of Ken’s passing.  I had the pleasure of working with Ken at the Canada Revenue Agency for seven years. Ken was generous in sharing his technical knowledge and practical experience and helped myself and other team membership to excel.  Ken was well regarded by both his colleagues and by the tax professionals whom he dealt with.  Ken was calm under pressure and always tried to make the right decision.   It was a privilege to have known him.
