June was born June Mary MacDonald in Vancouver British Columbia to Norman MacDonald and Gladys Duckworth. June joins her loving husband and friend of 55 years Kenneth G Knott who pre-deceased her and she leaves behind her step son Brent, step grandson Gerald and his wife Angie and great grandchildren Olivia and Amelia; as well as her god-son Ryan Patterson.
June had a long exemplary career with the Workers Compensation Board where she rose through the ranks and retired as a well-respected and valued manager. She was a long-standing member of the Daughters of the Nile and was very active within the organization for many years as they worked independently and together with the Gizeh Shriners of British Columbia and Yukon for fundraising events.
Forever a traveller, June visited Europe, travelled all over North America, and lived in San Francisco prior to marrying Kenneth. June and Ken had soft spot for Hawaii and Las Vegas where they visited many times. June loved to see the world and enjoyed visiting new restaurants and clubs within the city and abroad. She was always the picture of class and dignity and dressed to impress.
June loved her collection of Teddy bears and well curated collection of Elvis memorabilia. June also owned many poodles that were always a fixture in her home and she will be joining her most cherished poodle Pebbles who is waiting for her with Ken. Raise a happy glass to June.
At June's request, cremation without service.
