I am so sad to hear of Jurgen's passing.  I worked for him some 20 years ago.  He was so full of energy and had a real zest for life.  He was an incredible boss and had the best sauerkraut and sausage I have ever had.  My condolences Nancy and to Jurgens family.

Back in the day I worked at Chateau Bakery at Lonsdale Quay, and later at Tino's Bakery inside the mall. I got to know Ralf a bit from the soupmeister. Great people. after working through the shock of the news of Jürgen's tragic accident I was reflecting on how long ago I actually met him. That was back in the seventies at the house of the Schanz family in Dornhan. We had a great many experiences in Germany and Austria (and later in Canada) and one thing I can honestly say - Jürgen never changed. No matter what stage in life and what situation he found himself in, he was always funny, encouraging to others, extremely positive, helpful, you name it. It seems like he had all the positive traits that a person can have.

While this is a tragic loss especially for you and your family as well as for everybody who knew him, I have to smile every time I think of him.

I feel privileged to have known him and my heart hurts for you.
