Hsueh Hsiang is survived by his wife, Tina Te Chen Chang; children, Carolyn, Dennis and Lisa; son-in-law, Gordon; grandchildren, Paige and Mackenzie in Canada; as well as siblings Ji Qing and Cui Ying in China.
Hsueh Hsiang was born on November 5, 1935, in Zhejiang, China to Jin Shui and Lu as the eldest of five children. In his early teens, he moved to Shanghai to become an apprentice. Due to the outbreak of the Chinese Civil War, he followed his employer to Taiwan alone as a teenager without his family. After many years of hard work and dedication, he became an owner of a business within the chemical wholesale industry. In 1974, he married Tina, a girl who was also from his home province. Together, they welcomed three children. His family remember him as a loving and kind father, who worked tirelessly to provide for his family in Taiwan as well as his family in China. In 1990, Hsueh Hsiang gave up his career and brought his family to Canada in hopes of providing a brighter future for his children. Hsueh Hsiang was a quiet and reserved man, but he was always selfless and generous when helping others. Even though he had lived in Taiwan and Canada most of his life, his heart is always tied to his home and siblings in China.
