Siu Hung was born in Macau but grew up in Shek Kee city in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. In a large family with his 3 sisters and 3 brothers, he was the eldest son. His adventure began at age 15 after arriving in Vancouver alone to start a new life, support his family back home and unknowingly create his legacy.
Henry worked more than 30 years as a highly skilled mattress maker. As a creative handyman, he enjoyed constructing everything from his garden to furniture to human and pet homes. Upon encountering a need, he built many an innovative gadget from odds and ends. Ping pong and pool were among his favorite activities, which he delighted in teaching his grandchildren. He adored kids as he was playful too.
Henry is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Lily, 3 children: Debbie (David), Quincy (Christina) and Edmond (Tina), and 6 grandchildren: Nicholas, Aaron, Kaylie, Trenton, Ayden and Anya. Our sincere gratitude to BC Cancer for their compassion and care for our Husband, Dad, Grandfather, Brother and Friend.
A visitation for Henry was held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Surrounded by the love of family and friends, together we honored Henry's life with a funeral service on Sunday, December 11, 2022.
Henry's gentle charm and warm spirit continues to endure in our hearts.
