It is with much love and great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Frede Ejvind Hansen at age 83. Survived by his wife Eva and his children Holly (Tom), Benny (Gail) and grandchildren, Kira-Leigh, Randy and Alina. Frede was a long time resident of Burnaby. Born in Odense, Denmark, Frede travelled to Canada in May 1951, where he pursued his trade as a finishing carpenter. He will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor, cheery smile and beautiful woodworking. We would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to the staff at Burnaby General Hospital, Dr. Geoffrey Killick and to the staff at St. Michael’s Centre for all their assistance with his care. No service has been scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
