Eva Skodeberg Hansen

April 11th, 1930 ~ April 19th, 2013

It is with much love and great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Eva Skodeberg Hansen at the age of 83. Survived by her children Holly ( Tom ) , Benny ( Gail ) Grandchildren Kira-Leigh, Randy & Alina. Eva was pre deceased by her husband Frede in 2010. Born in Give Denmark, Eva travelled with her family to Canada in 1950, and resided in Port Alberni, B.C. where she worked in a sawmill. There she met and married Frede, and together they moved to Burnaby to raise their two children. Eva worked for Dogwood Lodge for quite a number of years as a home care worker. Eva will always be remembered by those who loved her and enjoyed spending time having a laugh or two over a cup of coffee. We would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to the staff at Richmond General Hospital, Dr. Geoffrey Killick, and the staff at Gilmore Gardens for all their assistance in her care. A memorial service will be held at the Danish Lutheran Church, 6010 Kincaid Street, Burnaby on May 25, 2013 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
