Thank you, Esther for:
1.  Not suffering fools gladly--you could always spot phoniness a mile away.
2.  Your unique and subtle sense of humour so obvious at our many dinners.
3.  Being a charming hostess and a great listener.  
I'll be looking forward to meeting you again on Cloud Nine.

One of my fondest memories of Esther, I mean Mrs. Lee, were the occasions when she babysat me when I had to stay home from school.  I remember she kept a copy of TV Guide in the living room which conveniently allowed me to map out a day's worth of TV, except when it came time for her shows which we watched together.  I might not have finished all of my homework but I received an education nonetheless.

Never had the pleasure of hearing you sing but always  enjoyed your laughter especially with Bob Gatto’s jokes. They were so unsoprano-like.
Never had the experience of your celebrated Christmas dinners (or was it Easter) in Honolulu. Diane we’re then struggling with three young kids and getting enjoying the break. . But we really had the unforgettable pleasure of dining in YOUR home on a number of occasions and enjoying those roast beef dinners . I guess that’s one of the reasons Bruce Ashdown always looked forward to those meals at the Lee’s. And in his style never stopped talking about them.  And how many times did we along with others have the  super Christmas buffets, drinks and good company your home?  We all miss you but  of course never as much as your wonderful husband. We grieve for him but know the lasting memories of times together and with friends will slowly heal  the pain so  deeply felt now. Free at last. RESP.

Dear Norm-
I'm saddened to hear of Esther's passing.  We met Esther during the early years  when you were  an outstanding lacrosse player.  However as the years passed by, and your involvement with  a lacrosse career  became history,  we were out of touch for many years, and only seeing you on the odd occasion when "reunions" occurred.  A lot of memories are lost over time, but one has stuck with me over all these years. It has to do with you telling me how you and Esther met.  She recognized you from your picture that appeared in the sports section of the newspaper that was promoting the upcoming Minto Cup series.

I'm sorry for your loss, but may today's sadness turn into tomorrow's fond memories.
