Passed away at the Vancouver General Hospital, March 16, 2013 at the age of 89. He is survived by his loving wife Iris and his
sons Ken (Joyce) and Gary, grandchildren Rhonda (Mark) Bergmann, Brent (Angie) Armstrong, Courtney Armstrong and great grandchildren Finley, Holden, Ariana, Keaton and Tate, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Ernie was an active member of Trinity Lodge No. 89 and served many years in various positions, including Master and Secretary. He was also a long-term volunteer driver for the Free Masons Cancer Car Program. He enjoyed his Lodge, sports, reading and playing solitaire. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and care givers at the VGH
dialysis unit and the orthopedic unit who made Ernie comfortable in his time there. A celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, 4550 Kitchener St., Burnaby, BC, on April 6th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or charity of your choice.
