It has been a year since we lost Eric but not a day goes by that we don't think about him.  He has touched all our lives in so many ways that little things that happens every day reminds us of him and reminds us of how much we miss him.   He will never be forgotten!!

We got to know Eric as a parent of Victoria and Davis, when he and Kathy sent them to our preschool back in 2003.  During those years at the preschool, we also discovered that he was a dedicated father. After the preschool years, we kept in touch and considered their family as part of our family.

First and foremost,  deepest condolences to Eric's immediate family... loving wife  Kathy, son Davis, daughter Victoria and sister Miranda for your tremendous loss.  I  have been fortunate enough to have known Eric since Mt Doug high-school and were roommates during our UBC days.  Like Eric, I too have many friends from all walks of life.  But judging from the overwhelming turnout at his celebration of life today, I  know he has touched many many many people in his well lived life.   Eric was a real fighter, a strong leader, a winner,  and above all, a great friend...and a good all around person with good moral....I am 200% certain his deceased parents were extremely proud to have had a son like Eric.   My wife and I thought we may have gone to the wrong venue while lining up to enter the main hall....thinking maybe it was a celebrity's event or something...then when we got to the front of the line, we knew we were at Eric's final farewell bash.  He would have been so proud and happy to see us all there to celebrate his life.  We all have our own personal experiences with Eric and I am sure we all are glad Eric was part of our lives in one way or another.   As a friend said, "this turnout is amazing.....when I  go, maybe 4 people would show up in my celebration of life".....and I  seconded him and said "yup, maybe I will have a dozen or so show up".   Ya, that's a true testament that Eric was a great guy.  Eric my friend, your legend will never be forgotten by those who have met you one way or another....you were one in billion!!!  Rest in Peace 🙏 my bro.  Will miss you always.

Dear Kathy, Davis and Victoria,
So sorry for the loss of your husband and dad. At Twin Club 23 years ago, I remember him being one of the friendliest dads. Some years later, after we’d all outgrown Twin Club, I then remember seeing him again when our boys were on the same soccer team for a short while (can’t remember which of our boys but think it was Saul). And after that, once in a while, would bump into him around Richmond.

Kathy, Victoria, and Davis, Miranda and family, my deepest condolences.  There are really no words that can describe the sadness I have been feeling since learning of Eric's passing.  I can't image how tough it is for you.  My thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.

Eric was my closest friend, my bud, and my bro.  He is like an older brother that I never had.  I was so fortunate to have met him nearly 40 years ago.  We shared a lot of  good times together.  He was always there when I needed someone to talk to, to have a drink with, to just hang out.  Just call him and we will be at Earl's, his favorite spot.  I appreciate so much his friendship, kind heart, and wise  guidance  over all these years.  He is truly a best friend.  And I know  he is also a best friend to many of us.

Eric  have told me many times that everything happens for a reason.  I am struggling to figure out the reason why he was taken from us so early.  Most likely the universe has bigger plans for him that I don't understand yet…

I will miss you Eric, my dear friend.  You will always be in my heart.  May you rest in peace.

Our sincere condolences for your loss. Eric was a great Son, Husband and Father and will be greatly missed by all. So sorry we couldn’t be at the celebration of life and meet some of the people that Eric have touched in his life. I’m sure all the stories would be similar in that he had a zest for life and was so thoughtful and caring a to all of his friends.  We know Eric for over 25 years and have shared golf trips  before we both had kids and with our families together. Torrey Pines will always have a special place in our hearts because of him.  Although we haven’t seen each other in a while, he would always call to see how my family was doing and we would catch up on how well the kids were doing.  He was so proud of his children and loved talking about his cars.   We will miss him dearly.

My deepest condolences to Kathy, Victoria and Davis.  It is with immense sorrow that we see Eric taken from us so soon.

Tomorrow, I will say farewell to my friend and brother Eric.  I have been extremely fortunate to have been able to share 37 years with Eric.  He was in every life event of mine since 1985.  He was a teacher, a brother, a guidance councilor and most importantly a friend. I will always cherish those memories.

Eric has been a special friend, caring and thoughtful! Thanks for being around especially when I am back to Vancouver and you will always take me out for drinks and dinners.  

You will be missed dearly!

I was really shocked when I was to receive the obituary. Although we worked as colleagues in the same office, we didn't work directly together so I don't have many memories to share. However, whenever I had an office meeting, I remember being impressed by his energetic and positive appearance. I sincerely wish you to leave behind all the pain and bad things and rest in peace in heaven with only happy memories.

Eric was my closest friend, a brother I have known for over 37 years.  He has been part of every important milestone in my life and was someone that I know I can always trust and rely on.  Being an extremely successful real estate broker was a very small part of who Eric was in comparison to all the things that matters in life, the elements that truly shows the true success of a person's life journey.  For me, five characteristics Eric had sums up the reasons I loved and admired him.  He was Kind, Compassionate, Had high level of integrity, Trustworthy and Forgiving.  For those who had the good fortune of getting to know Eric knows exactly what I am talking about.  The world was a better place with Eric in it then not and he was taken away from all of us far too soon.

My condolences to Eric's family and I truly understand the pain that each of you is going through right now because in my heart and in my mind, Eric was family to me so all of you are as well!!
